academic institutions, including four universities (University of Winnipeg, University of Manitoba and the Canadian Mennonite
University ). College Universare du St.Boniface, the city's  French language university, is the oldest university in Western Canada
and is located on its own beautiful campus inside the city's French Quarter. Red River College also offers a wide range of courses
which suits a vast number of career options and personal interests on two distinct campuses within the city. The newest being a
state of the art campus in the Exchange District.

This city has four distinct seasons. Whether it’s the warm long summer days  or the bright sunny days of winter  Winnipeg is alive.
During the summer the city is hosting many outdoor festivals, cultural and sporting events or spending relaxing days on a warm
beautiful white sandy beach.  Kick back and  enjoy spending time at the Forks, sitting out on a patio with friends, watching river
boats float by, or head off to a ball game and be among the thousands enjoying a warm summer evening, sitting back with a snack
and drink watching a professional baseball game at Winnipeg’s gleaming riverside ballpark (Canwest Global Park). During the  
winter months, natural beauty offers snow covered trails with frost covered trees. A beautiful Christmas atmosphere enhances the    
city’s title as the Christmas Capital of Canada. Winter also offers an array of other fun recreational activities like skating, skiing,
hockey and curling,  as well as the Festival du Voyageur which celebrates the voyageur heritage in Winnipeg, every February.
